BSP Condemns ATM Vandalism

BSP PNG expressed disappointment over the destruction of four BSP Mendi Branch ATMs on Monday, February 5th, stating that such actions will continue to disadvantage the people of Southern Highlands.

BSP Group general manager Retail, Daniel Faunt aid this latest incident brings the total number of damaged BSP ATMs across PNG to 17 since January 2024, severely hampering the bank's ability to provide essential banking services to the community.

BSP Reaching Unserved Communities

While this is saving a lot of time and money for the rural community, BSP continues its commitment to financial inclusion and reaching underserved through such community services.

BSP Banking Agency Manager, Stanley Seimoni said BSP recognizes the importance of providing banking services to all individuals, regardless of their geographical location.

“Their collaboration with BSP ensures a comprehensive and seamless experience for customers, further enhancing the accessibility and convenience of banking services in the region.” He said.

BSP pays tribute to Sir Kostas

BSP Chairman, Robert Bradshaw said Sir Kostas’s passing is a huge loss for the business community in Papua New Guinea and across the Pacific region. 

“As Chairman of BSP for 12 years, many of us at BSP were able to personally witness Sir Kostas’s drive and warmth and benefit from the wisdom he so kindly shared with others,” Bradshaw said.

BSP Financial Group has new Group CEO

He officially take on the new role in March 2023. Robinson, who hails from USA but originally from New Zealand will talk over predecessor, Robin Fleming, who left at the end of last year.

The announcement was made during the BSP Group Leadership Forum held in Port Moresby on Saturday 28 January, where management staff convened from all over Pacific and other markets.

BSP Continues Support for Men of Honour

This year, three ambassadors will be selected from each of the four regions, with one ‘Unsung Hero’ award going to an ambassador from each region.

BSP Head of Marketing and Public Relations, Gorethy Semi, stated that BSP is pleased to continue its support for the third year now. 

BSP sponsors Hiri Moale festival

This is the first sponsorship launch towards the festival and is the third time BSP has come on board as sponsors. The presentation today had BSP handover a cheque of K30, 000 to assist with the festival.

Corporate Sponsorship Manager, Amelia Minoppu, stated that BSP is pleased to join another year round since 2021.

“As you all know culture and tradition plays a big role in our communities and in the Pacific and the values of the communities we operate in. It’s through events like the Hiri Moale festival that our bran identifies the people that we work with,” she stated.

Superannuation Information Reaches Finschhafen

In its recent engagement in December, the fund’s Lae team travelled to Finschhafen to visit the Wamora Farmers association. The association is made up of coffee, cocoa and vanilla farmers from the Wareo region of Kotte LLG in Finschhafen.

On the 23rd of December, Nasfund special Projects Manager Judah Waffi led a second group which included representatives from Digicel CellMoni and BSP Financial Group.

310 members of Wamora Farmers Association issued with membership cards, are also registered with Eda Supa.

BSP Extends Spirit Of Giving

In spreading the Christmas cheer this festive season, BSP Waigani Head Office organised a charity call that saw staff donate Christmas gifts, food and clothing to support marginalised children of WeCare Foundation.

 WeCare Foundation runs community based groups in settlements in Port Moresby and provides care and support to children and women. It also provides Early Childhood Learning and Education Support opportunities. Founded in 2002, it operates out of Hohola in Port Moresby.

BSP To Open 6th Branch In Lae

“This will strengthen our physical presence in Lae through our new Eriku Branch. This will enable BSP to continue to better serve the residents and people of Morobe Province,” said BSP Group CEO Robin Fleming.
