Bomareo Tops Tewai-Siassi Count

Its three LLGs of Sialum, Siassi and Wasu counted separately, then the results were amalgamated (combined), to give the progressive tally for the Open and Regional seats.

As of yesterday (July 23), Sialum was at count 10 of 20, Siassi was count 6 of 10, and Wasu was count 9 of 12.

PANGU Extends Invite To Join Camp

He made the call after arriving in the East Sepik capital on Friday, July 22, 2022, with six other PANGU MPs, one from United Resources Party (URP) and one from National Alliance (NA) to start camp.
 
PANGU MPs are Marape (Tari-Pori), John Rosso (Lae), Ian Ling-Stuckey (Kavieng), Graham Piniau Rumet (Rabaul), Philip Undialu (Hela), Manasseh Makiba (Margarima) and Daniel Tindipu (Komo-Hulia).
 
With them are Koroba-Kopiago MP, William Bando (URP) and East Sepik Governor, Allan Bird (NA).
 

We Are Not Rigging Elections: Marape

He said if PANGU had rigged the elections, it would have made a clean sweep of all 118 seats, including Maprik Open in East Sepik, which party strongman, John Simon has lost.
 
“People have been falsely claiming that Pangu is rigging the elections, that there are extra ballot papers and making all other manner of lies,” PM Marape said from Wewak, where he is currently in camp to form Government.
 

Actions Cause Consequences

Cathy Neap believes that it is the actions of people and how being responsible for our actions makes a difference, and that one does not need to become a politician for change to happen as the roles we play in our daily lives play a big part in changing  our nation.

Representing the medical arenas was Dr. Esther Apuahe, PNG’s first female Neurosurgeon.

PNG’s first female Neurosurgeon, Esther Apuahe, says everyone should openly talk about the freedom of choice, especially at this of election.

“As a woman I feel that we should all talk to the public the population and our families everyone around and close to us about the democratic process of election. That’s what we want to stand for, freedom of choice.

Bird Maintains Lead

Huon Gulf: 4 Candidates Remain

Four candidates remain in the race for the Huon Gulf seat, and they are:

  1. Jason Peter (URP) – 16,580
  2. Ross Seymour (NA) – 12,944
  3. John Kasu (Ind) – 5,773
  4. Tukape Masani (ULP) – 4,582

The absolute majority is 21,402, while exhausted ballot papers are 1,327.

Counting For Madang Open To Start Soon

Madang open has 67 boxes from the three local level governments. He said MULL has 36 boxes, South Ambenob,20, and North Ambenob has 11 boxes. Counting will start with the first box for North Ambenob LLG. 
 
Sakipa said counting will start late but will make sure the team do their best to make sure counting is completed as soon as possible. He said they would count only five boxes today if time allowed.

CS Boram Gave It All

CS Boram Commander, Superintendent Aaron Menau, said though they did not receive any funding from the headquarters nor the East Sepik Administration, they went ahead and deployed 35 of their officers for the security of the elections.

Commander Menau said, as a member of the Provincial Election Steering Committee he had to give all he can to the smooth running of the elections in the province.
