Bishop Reverend Otto Separi acknowledged the Office of the Member for Kairuku District, Peter Isoaimo yesterday who had provided the funding support and said it was of it was of great help.

“This donation will help us follow the Pastoral plan and revive our spiritual life in our homes, in our families and in our communities. The Pastor Plan is a road map that will help us and we look at ourselves as a person, and as a community,” he stated.

Bishop Separi added that that the Pastoral plan is a method of new evangelization the reviving of faith again. 

SP reaffirms support to B4H

SP’s Corporate Affairs Manager, John Nilkare says, “SP Brewery has had a long-standing partnership with Businesses for Health, and we are delighted to continue our support for another year.”

LCCI appeals for children’s toys

LCCI said the Family Sexual Violence Units in Lae’s police stations see some traumatic and sad cases every day.

“The interview rooms are stark, and if the victim is a mother, often the kids just sit and wait for hours.

“If the victim is a child, they are bewildered, traumatised and broken mentally, let alone the physical damage.

“A campaign is underway with Dulux and a local artist, Eugene John, and a team of volunteers to repaint and put some murals on the walls.

New equipment for PMGH

Sir Brian Bell Foundation donated two and Wang Dee lawyers gave one of the Observation monitors to the department, which were damaged in the recent past.

PMGH Director for Medical Services, Dr. Koni Sobi, acknowledged the donation as a relief to both health care professionals and patients.

 “On behalf of board and PMGH, I thank Sir Brian Bell Foundation. We are thankful to donors that have come forward. This is in response to our recent damage of vital equipment in the department, so once again we say thank you for the donation made.

Pap smear kits donated to ANGAU

Harmony Gold staff from the Hidden Valley mine in Bulolo district made the long drive to present the items to the Lae Cancer Treatment Centre.

The cervical cancer screening items included 13 rapid Pap smear kits, 1,000 cytology sterile brush and 200 microscopic glass slides.

When presenting the items, Hidden Valley’s superintendent community engagement from the community affairs department, Benjamin Kamaya, said this was made possible through staff involvement. 

PacTrade welcomes New Year Babies

PacTrade’s Marketing Coordinator, Rosslyn Arek who delivered the donation said they have been supporting Friends of PomGen since last year with emergency appeals for the hospital and they intend to continue this partnership in 2023.

With this donation for the month of January, we now kick start our monthly supply of new born packs for the Maternity Ward. FOPG Operations, Grace Roland was on hand to receive the donation.

Hilton assists Cheshire Homes

Hilton was fulfilling its commitment made last year, December 18th 2022, where it pledged its support for the third time, hosting its annual Christmas under the stars for charity.

The event is organized by the hotel team members as a way of extending the light and warmth of hospitality to their families, their local communities and their charity of choice.

The event was open to the public and was hosted at Hilton Port Moresby’s Amphitheatre. Entry was upon donation in kind and through the purchase of raffle tickets.

Trukai donates to fundraising drive

This assistance demonstrates Trukai Industries’ support for community activities under its health initiatives, which is a part of its corporate social responsibility program.

The CT Scanner was presented to the Bougainville Charity Foundation’s (BCF) fundraising drive to purchase a cancer detection equipment.

BCF has helped many remote communities throughout Bougainville in various aspects, which include education and health with its recent fundraising appeal to purchase the cancer equipment for Bougainville’s main hospital.

Trukai aid Morobeans affected by drought

Representatives from Kukuc, Waritsian and Mamaringan were pleased to receive Trukai's timely donation.
