GG: Support Women and Mothers

In his congratulatory message on the occasion of Mothers Day yesterday, Dadae described mothers as the pillar and foundation of a happy and prosperous family.

Dadae said, besides taking on household chores, mothers play an important role in nurturing life from infancy to adulthood.

“Most importantly, mothers process and are the shelter of life. Life begins in the womb of a woman (mothers). Life grows inside her and is taken care of by the woman. Without her, there is no sustained life,” The Governor-General said.

GG appointed president of St John Council

In a statement, the Council said the president is the head of the organisation in PNG.

“The National St. John Council is a statutory body in the Parliament, which means it is an auxiliary to the Government, and is responsible for the governance and oversight of St John Ambulance and its operations across the country,” reads the statement.

In accepting his appointment, the GG said: "On behalf of all, I extend my immense gratitude and respect for the incredible work performed by St John Ambulance personnel every day.

GG Easter Message: Positive thinking and living

“On this special occasion, we are reminded of the greatest teacher in the world and the enormous sacrifice he has made on behalf of mankind,” said Governor General Bob Dadae.
