​GG welcomes new Peru envoy

​The Governor-General of Papua New Guinea, Bob Dadae, has welcomed the letter of credence by a representative of Peru as an ambassador to Papua New Guinea.

Newly-appointed Peru Ambassador, Miguel Julian Palomino De La Gala, said the signing today signifies the ties that will bring two nations together in bilateral and economic relations.

Dadae said Papua New Guinea is pleased to have Mr. Palomino as Ambassador for the Republic of Peru to PNG and we look forward to further developing bilateral relations between our countries.

“The Pacific Ocean connects us and plays a significant role in the livelihood both our people,” stated the GG.

Dadae said PNG is aware of Peru’s rapid economic growth due to liberal trade and investments desires.

Dadea encouraged the Peru government and business entities to visit PNG to explore opportunities for collaboration and the mutual benefit of both countries.

He adds that given the experience as the most recent host of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Leadership Summit in 2016, PNG is pleased to cooperate with the Peru government and other partners to ensure the successful hosting of the 2018 APEC Leaders’ Summit.

Dadea assured the appointed Peru Ambassador the government of PNG will stand ready to give the necessary support and assistance during their tour of duty in PNG.

“This will advance and enhance our relations for the mutual benefit of both our countries in the future,” he said.
