BOC appeal for economy

Speaking during a press conference today, Deputy Chairman of the Body of Christ churches, Pastor Michael Wilson raised concern about people not having enough money to take care of themselves.

The worsening economic situation in the country affecting families and communities has prompted the Body of Christ Churches to appeal to the government to seriously find strategies to improve the situation.

Fund life-changing programs: BOC

BOC Deputy Chairman Pastor Michael Wilson said the church could do more than what they are doing now in terms of evangelization.

“And we’re appealing to the government as we always do that please law and order is real, people are being affected. Therefore we call on the government institutions that if there is resources, redirect funding to the police and army and then to the court system and let us address this law and order issue,” said Ps. Wilson.

Prayer For National General Elections

Body of Christ Churches Chairman, Rev. Ps Joseph Walters spoke to the leaders of the churches at the Tabernacle of Prayer Church, 6-Mile about the importance of prayer.

Pastor Michael Wilson said there have been mismanagement and corruption among leaders because wrong people are voted into parliament, but there is a best way to run the elections and the church believes they have the answer. 

“Our desire and our conviction is that with God we can do it better, with God things can go better,” said Ps. Wilson.

Call To Repeal Pandemic Act 2020

Chairman Pastor Joseph Walters expressed his thoughts after a media conference held at the Tabernacle of Prayer Church hall to declare a three-week prayer vigil for the National General Elections, yesterday.

In referring to the call made by the recent meeting of the Provincial Health leaders during a workshop in Port Moresby recently calling for a nationwide vaccination, Reverend Walters made these comments.

Goi presents K2million to church

Minister Goi presented the Body of Christ churches a K1million cheque and the Wantok Radio Light another cheque for one million.

Goi said this is the government’s token of appreciation for what churches are doing and para-church organisations like the Wantok Radio Light for reaching into people’s spiritual life in Papua New Guinea and the Asia Pacific region, to make a holistic change.

He said when a person’s spiritual life is changed then his social and mental attitude will change to make them a better citizen in nation building.
