Parliament Clerk presents vehicle funding to BHOR

Clerk of the Bougainville House of Representatives Robert Tapi received the cheque in Buka, in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB) this week.

Mr Aufa said the presentation was a legacy initiative of the Office of the Speaker of Parliament and an outstanding commitment which has now been honoured, following the signing of the Parliamentary Partnership (Twinning) Agreement between the two parliaments in Arawa, earlier this month.

He said, “This presentation is the parliamentary partnership at work.”

BSP to launch new look website

BSP Group General Manager Retail Daniel Faunt said “The refreshed website allows for ease of access and is mobile device responsive making it user friendly for all who are using it.”

Super Fund keeps COVID Controls

NSL announced this following a surge in recorded COVID-19 cases in Port Moresby, and other provinces,

NSL says over the past 12-months the Fund has implemented operational controls to help tenants, members and staff to stay ahead of the spread COVID-19.

CEO of Nambawan Super, Paul Sayer, said Covid-19 is a serious threat to the wellbeing of Papua New Guineans, and they must not be complacent.

BSP continues support for outreach program

PNG Cancer Foundation Executive Manager Priscillar Napoleon said, PNGCF is grateful to have the backing of BSP again this year.

She said the Trupela Man Outreach Prevention & Education Program is designed to encourage the conversation of health and lifestyle choices among menfolk with the aim of raising awareness on men's cancer and cancer prevention.

ExxonMobil awards local staff

Now in its fourth consecutive year, the LCM Award Program recognises and celebrates staff members who show outstanding contributions towards the ‘Em Pasin bilong ExxonMobil long PNG or "the way we do things at ExxonMobil in PNG" culture.

The EMPNG culture is underpinned by the six core behaviours of safety, security, environment, integrity, teamwork, and excellence.  

Twenty-five individuals were nominated by the Country Leadership Team, with the Employee Development Committee selecting the seven recipients.

Three New Cases in NCD

The latest cases were reported in the National Capital District. 

A 44 year old female who works at a government department and resides in the Moresby South electorate, is one of the three confirmed positive. 

She was not showing symptoms of COVID-19 at the time of testing, but her swab samples returned positive.

Also tested positive is a 45 year old male, who was experiencing sore throat, headache and shortness of breath at the time of testing.

The third reported case is a 31 year old male employee of Exxon Mobil LNG plant site.
