Flowers for nurses

Flowers were overflowing in the wards of Port Moresby General Hospital  with armfuls delivered to the nurses and other staff.

They were a gift and a way to say “thank you’’ from hospital board chairman Sir Theophius Constantinou.

The knight has established a fundraising organisation also to help the hospital, it is called the Sir Theophilus Constantinou Foundation.

Today the foundation performed a random act of kindness, delivering beautiful orchid arrangements to the hardworking staff and nurses of every ward of the hospital, with an accompanying note to say "thank you for your continued hard work".

It was a gesture from the board chairman that complements the many uplifting changes occurring daily at the hospital.

The newly renovated wards, new uniforms and the changes to the systems have made a tremendous change to the hospital and today’s gesture was to make sure the staff know they're appreciated, said a spokesperson.
