Local designers encouraged to join

The young man who hails from Siassi Island in Morobe Province, was inspired by his home lifestyle when creating the designs on the new Jacks collection.

Nabur and his wife were present as Jacks handed over a cheque of K17,100 for the collection design.

Chauka Ya Launches Hamamas Collection

The launch also marked the release of the Clean Gen Merchandise Range, set to contribute to the growth of the Clean Gen Movement and its impactful initiatives.

Kewei acknowledged the overwhelming support received during the Hamamas Collection launch. She thanked attendees, online viewers, and those who supported the cause by wearing Chauka Ya garments. Special recognition was extended to Jack's of PNG, guest speakers, brand ambassador Kinivanagi Karo, and the dedicated team behind the event.

Jacks Launches Winning Designers Products

The grand reveal took place at the Waigani Central branch in Port Moresby, marking a celebration of Papua New Guinean ingenuity.

The three standout designers, Jack Lami, Andy Rambuli, and Mabata Vasiri, emerged victorious in a competition that served as a platform for showcasing inventive designs reflecting the rich tapestry of PNG. From intricate patterns to vibrant hues and striking graphics, the designers captured the essence of the diverse culture of Papua New Guinea.

Jack's launches 2023 design competition

CPL Project Manager, Ajay Patel, said that the team is encouraging more Papua New Guineans to take part in the competition for the next set of collection for PNG products.

“We’d like to encourage everyone to participate and showcase their skills and use this platform to show how designers in PNG have a place to provide their designs, their intellectual property to well established production and manufacturing partners like Jacks of PNG,” Patel said.

Jack’s launches Design PNG Product

Excited customers, staff and members of City Pharmacy Ltd joined the launch as the three local designers for the new merchandise presented themselves as well as their designs on merchandise.

CPL Project Manager, Ajay Patel shared that since the launch of the competition in 2020, there was a need for a platform to allow designers and talent to expose their skills and a place for market.

Jacks of PNG Partners with Team PNG

Jacks of PNG has sealed a two-year merchandise partnership which saw the PNGOC award the supplier the licensing rights to its Team PNG brand to manufacture, advertise and distribute Team PNG merchandise apparel for the two-year period.

The merchandising agreement allows the PNGOC to provide its Team PNG trademark to Jacks of PNG to create an agreed range of Team PNG supporter apparel for the public to purchase from all Jacks of PNG retail outlets.

Sportswear Brand Launched

Qaqa (pronounced Ganga), means “an obsession for Victory” in Fijian and is a brand Pacific sports brand promoting active lifestyle sports by offering sportswear and apparel.

According to Jacks of PNG, although the brand carries items for both men and women, a market survey and customer feedback indicated that there is a need for women’s performance wear for all markets.

It said during the pandemic it is important that people keep fit and take care of their immune system, thus, they have launched this during the pandemic.

Jacks PNG promoting PNG designers

The design completion was launched by the CPL General Manager Mahesh Patel at the Jack’s PNG retail store at its Central Waigani store in Port Moresby.

The competition will close on December 20th 2020 and winners to be announced on 13th January 2021.  K10,000 is the total value of prices to be won of which 5 winners will receive K2,000 each.

However all entries will also be featured on Jacks PNG’s 2021/2022 seasonal merchandise.
