Gold Coast Titans

Titans v Eels: Kini ready to debut; Arthur's triple boost

The Titans posted an impressive upset win over the Sea Eagles last week with the likes of David Fifita and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui firing on all cylinders in a warning for the Eels, who had their own forwards dominating against the Knights.

The Eels had 12 of 17 players post more than 100 metres against the Knights last week in a promising performance without Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Ryan Matterson.

Sea Eagles v Titans: Turbo ruled out; New faces on bench

Manly had to work for it but got the job done eventually against the bottom-placed Wests Tigers last Sunday, with the 22-16 win solidifying their place in the top four.

The Titans will be keen to make amends for their horror second half against the Dolphins last week, with Justin Holbrook's side hardly firing a shot to record what was the equal worst collapse for a loss in Premiership history – coughing up an initial 26-0 lead to lose 28-26 to Wayne Bennett's side.

Titans v Broncos: Foran good to go; Flegler ruled out

Despite winning many of the key statistical areas of their clash against the Raiders at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane suffered a shock 20-14 loss which now has them just two points clear of the Panthers at the top of the ladder.

Kevin Walters' men will be eyeing an immediate return to winning ways in what is their third derby match in six weeks, following earlier victories over the Cowboys and Dolphins.

The Titans will have taken plenty of confidence from getting the job done against the Dragons in a 20-18 win.

Late Sexton try gets Titans home in afternoon thriller

The Dragons appeared to have had the game won when Ben Hunt crossed to break a 14-14 deadlock with seven minutes remaining before the Titans had three sets on the visitors' try-line for Sexton to bust through on the left edge.

Gold Coast held on from another final raid by the Dragons until Hunt, who was again everywhere for the Red V on Sunday, spilt the ball on the siren to hand the Titans their third win of the season.

Titans v Dragons: Campbell, Sexton step up; Same 17 for Griffin

The Dragons are coming off a big win over the Dolphins and will be looking to get another victory against the Titans after coming from behind to get a first-up victory 32-18 in Round 1.

The Titans, coming off a bye, will be fresh to welcome the Red V to the Gold Coast but are also facing some injury concerns in their spine.

Both sides have met on 28 occasions with the Dragons winning the past two clashes in high-scoring fixtures.

A Sunday afternoon scheduling on a sunny Gold Coast only looks set to add to a potential point-scoring try-fest.

Cowboys hold off injury-hit Titans to get back on track

Coming off back-to-back losses to the Broncos and Warriors, Todd Payten's men were forced to dig deep after they trailed 8-0 in the shadows of half-time.

The Titans drew first blood in just the fourth minute when winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira finished off a slick right side raid, taking the final pass from David Fifita and touching down for his fourth try of the season. Tanah Boyd's conversion made it 6-0.

Match Preview: Cowboys v Titans

The Titans will be bouncing into training this week full of confidence after running in three tries in seven minutes to defeat Melbourne last week while the Cowboys will be hoping to make amends with their fans after falling to the Warriors at home.

The Cowboys have struggled to produce an 80-minute performance in their opening three games, with only one second-half scored compared to seven conceded and coach Todd Payten will be hoping to shore up their defensive efforts ahead of Saturday's Queensland derby.

Titans beat Storm in Gold Coast try-fest

The Titans trailed 24-18 at the break before overcoming the error-prone Storm in the second 40 minutes, with star off-season recruit and chief playmaker Kieran Foran impressing, despite spending 24 minutes on the bench after being substituted in a surprise move by coach Justin Holbrook.

Even in his more limited role, Foran set up a try and laid on two line breaks, which included helping rookie winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira to a first-half double.

Match preview: Titans v Storms

The Titans came back to earth at Kogarah on Sunday after an impressive start to the season while Melbourne copped more injury concerns in their loss to the Bulldogs but were otherwise beaten on enthusiasm.

Craig Bellamy's men hold a dominant record against the Titans, particularly at Cbus Super Stadium, and with a few stars slated to return, they'll want to correct their efforts last week.

Dragons v Titans: Bird in, de Belin out; Foran firming to play

Having missed the finals for the past four seasons, the Dragons must get away to a good start and then find the consistency that eluded them for much of 2022 until they finished the year with three wins on the trot.

One of those victories came against the Titans at WIN Stadium in round 23 when they piled on 46 points, their highest score of the season.

The Titans were able to regroup and win their final two matches before carrying that momentum into the Pre-Season Challenge where they put 40 points on the Dolphins and then the season opener against Wests Tigers (22-10).
