Sea Eagles swoop in second half to dowse Eels fight

The game was in the balance until the final moments where the home side pulled away to flatter them on the scoreboard, with Parramatta putting in a much bigger fight than they showed in their loss last week to the Dolphins.

Eels winger Maika Sivo also crossed for a hat-trick after being recalled to the side, but will be contemplating his choices after being sent to the sin bin late in the second half as his side were mounting a comeback, with Manly instead able to put the game to bed with late tries.

Spine sizzles as Storm pile on points over Bunnies

Melbourne know how to lift on April 25, having now won eight consecutive ANZAC clashes but Craig Bellamy's men well and truly hit top gear at AAMI Park, running in six tries in the first 36 minutes.

The win could come at a loss however, with im-form winger Xavier Coates hobbling from the field with a hamstring injury after celebrating a first half hat-trick.

Storm's spine stamped their authority early with Jahrome Hughes chipping the ball in the air for Papenhuyzen who opened the scoring for Melbourne.

Too good by half: Walker supreme as Roosters rout Dragons

Led by a superb kicking display from Sam Walker, the Roosters made it five wins in their past seven ANZAC Day clashes against the Dragons to send an ominous warning to their premiership rivals.

A horror start for the Dragons with Moses Suli forced out of the game in the opening minute after clashing heads with a rampaging Jared Waerea-Hargreaves on kick-off return.

Six minutes in and the Dragons had the game's opening try when Zac Lomax put Tyrell Sloan away down the right with a clever flick pass and the No.1 put a chip over the top of the oncoming defence.

Gritty Titans dig deep to post first win of 2024

Trailing 12-0 after just seven minutes the Titans looked to be in for another long day but with AJ Brimson and David Fifita standing tall, they broke a six-game losing streak in style.

An early penalty against Titans centre Brian Kelly for a dangerous tackle gave the Warriors field position and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad capitalised when he sliced through from 10 metres out. Shaun Johnson knocked over the conversion for a 6-0 lead.

Wabo looks ahead after bitter loss

Nonetheless, the boys are moving on. The Hunters travel to Gold Coast this week for their round 7 match of the Hostplus Cup against 3rd ranked Burleigh Bears on Saturday.

Nineteen-year-old Jett has transferred from the Penrith Panthers, where Ivan is a three-time premiership winner alongside elder son Nathan.

The youngest Cleary was born in Auckland when his father was in his first year as assistant coach of the Warriors. Jett played for St Dominic's College in Penrith and the Panthers' development teams in the Harold Matthews Cup (under-17) and the SG Ball Cup (under-19).

"It's an exciting time for us to be able to bring a player of Jett's quality into our pathways system from next season," said Warriors chief executive Cameron George.

Gurias regroup for Round 3

Gurias fielded an unchanged line up from their round one clash against Mioks but it was a case of fire with fire as the slick Dabaris kept the Gurias in check the entire match.

Gurias new coach and club legend Jessie Alunga said there is no panic station after his side were held to a 12 all draw on Saturday by an equally strong Dabaris side.
