Whiz kids fire as Roosters take down Eels

Walker scored a brilliant solo try and landed four goals and a field goal while Suaalii grabbed a double as Trent Robinson's men chalked up their sixth win of the season.

The Roosters made the perfect start when veteran big man Jared Waerea-Hargreaves threw a dummy and bamboozled Reagan Campbell-Gillard before carrying Reed Mahoney over the line to score in the fourth minute.

Raiders muscle up to upset lacklustre Sharks

Cronulla started the match creatively with a short kick-off working in their favour, but it was all one-way traffic against them after that as the Raiders raced to a 20-0 lead.

The Sharks got back into the game with two second half tries but the Raiders lifted in defence with some spirited efforts.

Making the Raiders performance more impressive, Ricky Stuart's side were forced to defend their line for 30 minutes with 11-12 men after Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Corey Horsburgh were sin-binned for professional fouls.

Wests Tigers v Cowboys: Gildart, Kepaoa ruled out; Gilbert cleared

The final match of the special event wraps up round 10 with the Cowboys looking to extend their winning run against a Wests Tigers side that have taken a few steps backwards in recent weeks after putting two wins together.

The joint venture, however, enjoy Magic Round more than their opponents.

They've beaten the Knights and Panthers in the past two concepts and despite the Cowboys well-placed on the ladder, the Tigers have shown they can spring an upset.

Roosters v Eels: Watson returns for Verrills; Russell back for Parra

The Tricolours, fresh off a big 44-16 win over the Titans, are about to enter an interesting four-week block that includes matches against the Eels, Sharks, Panthers and Raiders (away and without Origin stars).

Roosters coach Trent Robinson has urged patience over his star-studded side and their attack. They delivered in spades to score eight in Mackay.

However, they face no tougher ask in the NRL at the moment than the Eels, who have upset the Panthers and Storm this year in big matches.

Sharks v Raiders: Hynes slides to fullback; Elliott out for Raiders

Such was their composure and faith in their systems that they rarely seemed troubled in defence despite having 12 men for 63 minutes and going down to 11 men when Jesse Ramien was sin binned in the second half.

The Raiders got back on track with a win over the Bulldogs but know they'll need to go to another level if they're to make it two on the bounce.

When these sides met in round one, a late try to Hudson Young gave the Green Machine a 24-19 win over the Sharks in Canberra.

Panthers bounce back to overpower Storm

The clash of the co-competition leaders had been billed as the match of the season but Melbourne lost Kiwis halfback Jahrome Hughes before kick off with a calf injury.

With star fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen and strike centre Reimis Smith already out their attack was stifled.

Rookies Cooper Johns and Tyran Wishart were called up to replace Hughes and Papenhuyzen, but the sons of former Kangaroos, Matt Johns and Rod Wishart, had a tough night as Penrith roared to their ninth win of the season.

Titans snatch golden point win over Dragons

Little separated the two teams in a gripping contest but after it looked like St George Illawarra were finishing the strongest, Gold Coast prop Jarrod Wallace crashed over for a try to force the game to extra time and Isaako scored the match winner.

Storm v Panthers: Wishart to fullback; Sorensen back on deck

With both sides boasting 8-1 records and sitting first and second on the ladder the hype will build throughout the week before the last two premiers square off on Saturday night.

For 2020 champions Melbourne, the injuries to star fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen and centre Reimis Smith leaves a couple of big holes to fill but such is their depth that few expect them to miss a beat.

Titans v Dragons: Campbell returns; Sullivan starts for Red V

The Dragons traditionally have strong support in Brisbane and they'll be hoping a large Red V contingent can help them return to the form that carried them to three wins on the trot before Sunday's loss to the Storm.

The Titans were in the hunt early in the second half when they trailed 24-16 but four tries in 15 minutes to the James Tedesco-inspired Roosters consigned them to a fifth loss on the trot.

Seven heaven: Reynolds runs riot as Broncos maul Manly

The Broncos No.7 laid on two tries for Selwyn Cobbo with pinpoint kicks and scored one of his own as Kevin Walters' men made it four wins on the trot.

Reynolds set the tone for the night when he clean bowled Tom Trbojevic with the kick-off to get the ball back for his team and two minutes later he set up Cobbo for the game's opening try.

The Sea Eagles launched an air raid of their own in the 14th minute when Tom Trbojevic flew high to bring down a Kieran Foran bomb and looked certain to score but desperation defence by Billy Walters denied the superstar fullback.
