WNB gov’t supports Trinity School

The Provincial Government, recognizing the school's invaluable work, presented a generous contribution of K200,000 during a special ceremony.

Governor Sasindran Muthuvel personally handed over the cheque from the Provincial Support Improvement Program, and took the opportunity to inspire the students, urging them to transform their challenges and difficulties into opportunities for personal growth and success.

Principal Kumba Lui expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the entire school community, acknowledging the Provincial Government's continuous support.

WNB Nursing School funded

The West New Britain Acting Provincial Administrator Leo Mapmani presented a cheque of K200, 000 on behalf of Governor Sasindran Muthuvel to institution.

“On his behalf the Regional Member and Governor for WNB Sasindran Muthuvel, I present to the WNB School of Nursing this cheque of K200, 000 that will go towards the schools operations that the governor has continued to support since its inception,” said Mr Mapmani.

Agreement to protect Kimbe Bay

This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Conservation and Environment Protection Authority and the West New Britain provincial government.

In a statement, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) said in the face of Papua New Guinea’s extraordinary natural heritage, most of the country’s highly biodiverse marine and coastal ecosystems are not well protected or resourced.

“Until now, sustainable livelihoods opportunities linked to the marine environment were out of reach,” said UNDP.
