New Naru aid post officially opened

The new aid post was built at a cost of K150,000 with funding assistance from the Ramu NiCo Management (MCC) Limited’s Community Development Fund (CDF).

Kuipa Tonny Community Affairs Department Supervisor & Community and Government Liaison, and Jacob Winis Chairman of the Inland Pipeline Landowners Association, co-officiated at the official opening.

Integrity check clears Basamuk

This is according to an inspection done recently by Aus-ROV Pty Ltd, an independent consultant from Australia.  The DSTP pipeline placement integrity check is carried out annually as a regulatory requirement.

The two consultants from the Aus-ROV Pty Ltd were engaged to carry out the integrity check on the DSTP pipeline placement with using the Seabotix ROV (remote Operating Vehicle).

New weather station at Basamuk site

The new weather station which is now operational can monitor and measure wind direction, wind speed, rainfall and temperature. These are four important variables that compliment the complex Refinery Operations processing plants managed by Ramu NiCo Management (MCC) in Rai Coast district.

Ramu NiCo’s  Senior Environment Officer, Moses Yaa explained that the variables and other meteorological data are useful in both analytical and planning for major repair works 安定 major installations at the refinery plant.
