K20m Projects Launched In Namatanai

Namatanai MP, Walter Schnaubelt said the projects are focused on service delivery to doorsteps under the Namatanai DDA’s 'Stretim Ai Dua Pastem' concept. 

Among the projects launched was the K2m Namatanai Airstrip, including K3.7m for heavy equipment, K520,000 Law and Order vehicles for Namatanai Advancement Limited (NDDA business arm), K5.5m of a 1MW Biomass Power Generation project, K2m Namatanai Fire Station, K2m Flight Training Centre and K4m Hydrogen Solar Power Project for the Namatanai Hospital.

St John Ambulance Service In Namatanai

Following the initial funding of K1.7 million by the Namatanai District Development Authority (NDDA), an annual funding of K800, 000 will be allocated to the ambulance service to cover the three Local Level Governments (LLGs) of Namatamai, Matalai and Sentral Niu Ailan.

DDA Board Chairman and Member for Namatanai, Walter Schnaubelt said it is a pilot project and the DDA is working with St John Ambulance to deliver health services. Based on its outcome, this will be tailored to other LLGs.

Kadan Primary Gets New Library

The new infrastructure was funded through the Namatanai District Development Authority (NDDA) at a cost of K40,000.

Member for Namatanai and Chairman of the NDDA Walter Schnaubelt officially opened the buildings on the 29th of July in front of a crowd of 500 people that included students, staff and parents and communities of Kadan and nearby villages.

Schnaubelt said the infrastructure would help to prepare the next generation and he is happy to lead the way in setting the platform for the next generation’s leaders.
