K4million Development Levy for Hiri-Koiari

The small yet significant presentation was between the Governor for Central Province, Rufina Peter, Provincial Administrator Francis Koaba and Member for Hiri-Koiari, Keith Iduhu.

Iduhu said, “This is actually, I think the first of its kind since the PNG LNG Development Levy’s have been payable and it’s been a long time coming, we are grateful and on behalf of my Hiri-Koiari people I extend my gratitude for this inaugural first development levy payment towards district development,” said Iduhu.

All services are for Central people too: Parkop

Governor Parkop made this pledge during a presentation of materials recently in Sorgeri for local business owners of camp sites and guest houses.

Deputy Central Governor Willie Vave suggested the need for a district office for Central Province, to which Governor Parkop expressed his willingness to partner with Iduhu to achieve this.

Governor Parkop also announced that funds have been allocated to build markets in the area, and it is up to Iduhu and his team to determine their location.
