DJAG and partners observe International Human Rights Day

The program focused on emphasizing the crucial role of partnerships in promoting human rights and responsibilities.

The event featured informational stalls set up by DJAG agencies, offering insights into their functions and services.

Deputy Secretary of National Provincial Coordination and Crime Prevention, Stanley Raka, FSVU Director Superintendent Delilah Sandeka from RPNGC, and representatives from different DJAG agencies spoke at the occasion.

Oceans policy regional awareness launched

The Consultation Awareness convened with the participation of different stakeholders namely; Madang Provincial Government Authorities, Mineral Resource Authority (MRA), Madang Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Madang Airport Development, National Fisheries Authority (NFA), National Maritime Safety Authority (NMSA), World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Madang District and Local Level Government (LLG) Authorities.

DJAG announces Appellate Court

Niningi said, “The Marape/Rosso government remains fully committed to ensuring that the legislative reforms to the Higher Courts are passed by Parliament and implemented successfully.”

In a press conference on the afternoon of Thursday Mar 23, Niningi revealed that the Court Restructure Committee comprises of six (6) senior Judges and the State Solicitor and his team of lawyers.

DJAG officer terminated for corrupt conduct

Justice Secretary Dr. Eric Kwa said as the lead Government agency in the Government’s fight against corruption, and strengthening integrity in the government processes, DJAG will not tolerate any form of misconduct, bribery and corruption.

He said this is not the first time an officer has been terminated for such misconduct in office. DJAG will continue its efforts to rid and prevent this practice.

DJAG Partners With Security Firm

Attorney General and Secretary for Justice, Dr Eric Kwa and Brave Security Consortium Limited, Managing Director, Wesley Roy signed the agreement in Port Moresby.
The contractor will provide Vehicle Tracking Security Services and other related support services to DJAG.

“I am happy that the tracking systems will also track fuel consumption,” he said.
Dr Kwa also said that it is important that we support our Papua New Guineans companies who are making a breakthrough into the field of Information Technology.
