Goroka police are anticipating the handing over of ten suspects in relation to the New Year ’s Day murder that sparked ethnic fights this morning.

After recording the biggest global opening of all time and a record US debut of $248m, The Force Awakens has now smashed the US record for Christmas Day box office receipts.

Lucasfilm and Disney's latest instalment in the space opera saga took $49.3m across the US on Friday - almost double the previous record, set by Robert Downey Jr's first Sherlock Holmes movie in 2009.

It also earned $27.5m from cinemas across the rest of the world for a global Christmas Day total of $76.8m, according to Coming Soon.

American companies are developing laser systems for the aircraft, drones, vehicles and even boats for U.S. troops. And while they may not match the cool beams of light seen from those “Star Wars” laser cannons, they can do plenty of damage.

The promo for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens was posted on the movie's official account using the photo and video-sharing site's new landscape format.

The caption below simply says: "There has been an awakening..."

The film is due for release in the UK just before Christmas this year.

The plot comes 30 years after Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

The 15 second clip does not give away any of the latest storyline.

The Star Wars Facebook shared some really amazing fan art of everyone's future queen of the galaxy, Captain Phasma, played by the one and only Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie.

Let's face it, she is going to be a certified badass. Just look how she struts in her Elite Storm Trooper (Dark Trooper?) costume.
