Albanese made this assurance when addressing Parliament last Thursday in Port Moresby.

Albanese said whether it is rugby league, or cricket with the Barras and the Lewas, or the work being done here by the AFL, sport is a genuine and powerful way of building strong and lasting ties between our peoples, at a code and club and community and family level.

Ex-CEO Appointed Consultant To NRL Bid 2025

On behalf of the PNG NRL Bid 2025 Board, PNG Rugby Football League CEO, Stanley Hondina said a workshop was run this week, where Hill as lead consultant advised the Board on the set up and legal framework of the bid process.

Hondina said Hill is also PNG Hunters Strategic Advisor and has been supporting to put together work around the PNG Orchids and PNG Kumuls programs, and therefore it was the Board’s decision to extend his scope of work to include his services with the PNG NRL Bid 2025.

PNG NRL Bid Board Sworn In

The board members appointed by the National Executive Council (NEC) are, beginning with Board Chairman, Wapu Sonk (Kumul Petroleum Holdings Ltd Managing Director), Stan Joyce, Ian Tarutia (Nasfund Chief Executive Officer), Albert Veratau (PNG Sports Foundation CEO) and Stanley Hondina (PNGRFL CEO).

Deputy Chief Magistrate, Samson Tatakali had sworn in the Board witnessed by PNGRFL Chairman, Sandis Tsaka and the media.
