PNG Australia Alumni Association

The gathering was graced by the esteemed presence of Australia’s former Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop, who served as the guest of honour.

The focal point of the Women's Leadership Luncheon was to recognize and applaud the exceptional accomplishments of the PNG alumnae of the WLI Women's Developmental Leadership Program. These extraordinary women have been catalysts for positive change within their workplaces, communities, and the nation as a whole.

It was with these skills in mind that PNG Department of Justice and Attorney General officer Jill Goroba signed up for PNG Australia Alumni Association’s recent Toastmasters Speechcraft workshop in Mt Hagen – with impressive results.

Goroba, a Statistical Data Entry and Evaluation Coordinator, was voted ‘most improved female’ by the workshop’s 26 other participants, who came from a diverse cross-section of professions and 10 PNG provinces.
