Round 15 charges: Taukeiaho to judiciary; three facing bans

As well as attempting to avoid a fine, Taukeiaho will avoid having a "prior offence" added to his judiciary record if he is suspended.

Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Dragons winger Mikaele Ravalawa are both facing multi-week suspensions following a review of Saturday's matches.

Both only attracted grade one charges, but loading for previous offences have bumped up their sanctions.

Renouf: Origin shield still there to be won

The most important thing for Paul Green right now is how he handles this loss. It was a historic loss and no one likes to be a part of that, but Greeny just needs to forget about that and get to Brisbane with a clear head.

Casualty Ward: Milford to miss a month; Mahoney out of Maroons mix

Prop Rhys Kennedy has returned to training after an infection forced him out of the team for round 12 while Kobe Hetherington will be available for selection in round 14 despite a foot sprain suffered in the second half against the Dragons in round 13.

Eels hooker Reed Mahoney won't be able to be a part of Queensland's playing squad on Wednesday night after partially dislocating his shoulder on Sunday against Newcastle.

Life after footy: How career coaches are preparing players

Welch is set to start a one-day-per-week work placement with the industry super fund - a Melbourne Storm sponsor - a fortnight or so before the potential Origin decider will be played in Sydney.

He will begin working with an accounts team "and then hopefully get a bit of a taste across all the business," the MBA student said.

Kelly the beneficiary as Milford dropped again

Milford has been dropped for the second time this year, his axing coming off the back of a 50-6 loss to Manly with fellow former Origin star Corey Oates also dumped to make way for the return of David Mead.

Kelly will partner Tyson Gamble in the halves for Brisbane as Milford again gets the chop, despite the fact he has featured in the club's only two wins in 2021.

Kelly joined the Broncos on a train and trial contract in the offseason after spending six seasons in the English Super League when he left the Titans in 2014.

According to Phil Rothfield, the conversations between the Storm and Coates started back in December and the club is now “on the verge” of signing the Queensland Origin winger.
