Lae MP remembers late ACP

“I am shocked to learn of his recent passing, he was a gentleman and a highly disciplined officer,” stated the Lae MP.

“I have known him for a long time. Starting from the days I was a young kiap in Simbu when he was the PPC Simbu.

“I later had the privilege of serving under him as a police man when he was the Lae Metropolitan Superintendent Commander and later when he was ACP Northern Command.

Mondiai will not tolerate ill-discipline and incompetency in the force

"I won't go easy on those police personnel who do not perform to expectation but abuse and misuse powers. I will strictly make it my business in my command. If you don't follow simple rules and regulations, I will deal with you,” says Mondiai.

He said this when addressing police personnel at Baiyer Police Station during his tour of the Highlands region.

He says he would like to see more police personnel in the rural areas, where the population is.

ACP tours Eastern command

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nema Mondiai this week visited Chimbu Province, followed by Jiwaka and Western Highlands.

The trip was to familiarise himself with policing within his command.

On Sunday he visited Chuave, Monday he was at Gembogl and on Tuesday he was at Gumine, followed by Kerowagi yesterday.

He will be at Minj and Nondugl today and Friday at Banz and Jimi respectively, before returning back to Mount Hagen over the weekend and prepare for the Western Highlands leg of the tour.
