Hospice worker's cover of Adele hit goes viral

But the performance may have struck its strongest chord with the audience who heard it in person.

The video, shot July 22, shows St. Helena Hospice nurses' assistant Emma Young giving an impromptu performance to patients.

"I sing whenever I can. Every time I'm on shift, if it gets quiet then I try to sing a few songs on the piano," said Young. "It really helps to make patients and families smile and creates such a nice atmosphere."

Adele fires back after being criticized over her voice

The 28-year-old, 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer was recently criticized over her voice and she was not having it.

Adele shimmers onstage

The British singer wore a shimmery blue and black dress as she took to the stage at the historic Arena di Verona, the latest stop on her world tour.

The 28-year-old star appeared to be in high spirits as she serenaded the sold-out crowd.

Adele's custom Burberry gown featured black side panels and blue, pink and green shimmering sequins as she performed at the unique outdoor venue, which was built by Ancient Romans in the 1st century.

The London-born singer wore her strawberry blonde hair down in a stylish bob, and added gold earrings and long, dark nails.

Nobody's perfect, not even the beloved Adele.

While Adele was singing one of her favorite songs, she experienced a bit of a brain-fart for lack of a better word. "S--t, wrong words," she was overheard saying to the crowd before bursting into laughter. "S--t, s--t, s--t. Should I sing the right words? Sorry."

As you likely could have guessed, fans had no hard feelings with the human mistake. In fact, you could hear hundreds of audience members laughing and cheering as Adele carried on like a pro.

Adele and James Bay to win big at Brit Award, says Google

The tech giant's music streaming service, Google Play Music, and their video platform, YouTube, have analysed the streaming volumes of the artists nominated to see who would win if it was a popularity contest.

It's no shock that Adele is likely to walk away with the most prizes, including British Female Solo Artist and British Single for 'Hello'.

However, Google Play Music's data predicts that the star's multi-million-selling album 25 will be pipped to the post for British Album of the Year by James Bay's debut record Chaos and the Calm.

Adele’s 25 continues to break records

According to Billboard, 25 sold 1.15 million in pure album sales in the week leading up to Christmas, making this the third week that 25 has sold more than a million copies.

The week ending on Dec. 24 marks 25’s second-best frame yet after the album debuted in late November and sold 3.38 million copies in one week.

When it was first released, 25 shattered records, becoming the first album to sell more than 3 million in a single week and earning the largest sales week for an album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
