Adele visits a seriously ill 12-year-old fan at her home

Adele has made a fan's dream come true by visiting her at home in Belfast.

Rebecca Gibney's mum Tracy started a campaign months ago to try and arrange a meet-up between her daughter and her favourite popstar, and it paid off.

While in the city to kick off her tour, the 'Hello' singer popped by to meet one of her biggest fans - who is also very unwell.

The 12-year-old's mum told Belfast Live: "It all started months and months ago I set up the page for Rebecca to meet Adele.

"I got the manager's email and I emailed her four months ago and she said to leave it with her."

She continued: "I was sitting in the hairdresser today and the manager called and said, 'Tracy, it's Adele's manager I am getting back to you because Adele has seen your Rebecca's pictures and she was very emotional and she wants to come and meet your daughter'."

So they arranged a meeting, and Tracy confirmed that Adele is just as lovely as she seems, commenting: "I cannot put it into words what it means."

Elsewhere, Adele cleaned up at last week's Brit Awards, taking home four trophies including MasterCard British Album of the Year.

She also used up one of her acceptance speeches to publicly back Kesha in her lawsuit with Sony and Dr Luke.
