“This shows the commitment of the government to partner with Unitech to further strengthen this institution and we have to develop it so our children can have the opportunity to study here and do their diplomas and degrees here in Kundiawa,” Governor Kool said.

“Our commitment is to try to provide the infrastructure and capital equipment while we try to get the other six district MPs to assist.”

Simbu Unitech Satellite University opens

The Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Unitech) vice chancellor, Albert Schram, says the satellite university will deliver Unitech’s diploma progams.

“The best graduates will have a special quota for admission to Unitech degree programs,” Schram tells Loop PNG.

“Simbu invested heavily in primary and secondary education and wanted a university.

“Unitech wants to externality its programs to contribute to national development and creation of a knowledge based and sustainable society.”
