Chief Secretary to Government Isaac Lupari said this when outlining that the government has done its part by ensuring that a policy and systems have been put into place.

It's the implementation and monitoring aspect that has led to the poor administration of the drugs.

Government spends K4b on public servants’ wages

Chief Secretary to Government Isaac Lupari revealed this today at the special departmental heads meeting in Port Moresby. 

He challenged them to change their work ethics and improve their day to day attitude to work.     

The special departmental heads meeting was to discuss the 2017 Budget implementation and key challenges.

Lupari said from the K13 billion government expenditures, K4 billion goes to paying of government employees wages.

He urged for a change in the public services work culture to meet the expectations of Papua New Guineans.

2017 election meeting to involve all levels of government

Chief Secretary to Government Isaac Lupari revealed that all local level and provincial government heads will meet with Electoral Commissioner Patilas Gamato and the Election Steering Committee on April 11.       

“The Electoral Commissioner and the steering committee will brief provincial administrators in the planning process (for the 2017 election) so they can engage them in some discussions,” Lupari said.
