The supermarket’s national manager, Anton Guthen, says this is the third time this year the supermarket has been robbed of its taking.
The shop’s usual opening time is around 6.30am. “The suspects however, came in around 8.30 to 9am when the store was crowded with morning shoppers, taking everyone by surprise,” stated Guthen.
They took cash totaling K1,960 from the first cashier’s till.
A security guard at the supermarket’s door said one of the suspects pointed a homemade firearm at him.
