PNG through NICTA submitted a proposal containing 9 areas that need to be addressed to allow the provision of effective telecommunication and ICT services during the 2nd Asia Pacific Telecommunity Conference in February this year.
Cyber security and combating scams, universal accessibility, strengthening institutional and human capacity and broadband access and Application are at the top of the list.
The proposal has ticked off all requirements and approvals and will be submitted to the World Telecommunity Development Conference for further deliberation.
