“A Catalogue of Selfies from Papua New Guinea” initially started off as a Facebook promotion conducted in August 2020 in the midst of COVID-19.

Publisher, Glenn Armstrong, said the promo, in conjunction with tech company, Cool Stuf, asked followers to inbox their favourite selfies to win one of 30 Alcatel mobile devices – a combination of phones, tablets and wifi modems.

The message was posted on the Placer County Sheriff's Office Facebook page after a woman fell 60 feet off the Foresthill Bridge on Tuesday.

Melina Roberge, 23, and Isabelle Lagacé, 28 -- as well as a third Canadian, 63-year-old Andre Tamine, who could also face a life sentence -- were refused bail this week, a source close to the case told CNN.

The three have been charged with importing drugs of a commercial volume into the country, Australian Federal Police said in a statement.
