Close race in POM Hockey 11s

The tournament will be played in two segments. Round five played on the weekend was the final round of the first segment.

Since the tournament started in April, the tournament has enjoyed interesting showdown from participating teams. Teams have been putting their all in each round, for a placing in the finals.

POM hockey picking up

Vice President, Theresa Potuan said the competition has eight teams each in the men’s and women’s divisions.

“We started back in April of this year. We’re slowly picking up with the teams back on their feet. All teams have been training hard and fighting hard to make the finals,” said Potuan.

Today saw the completion of round five. The finals will be played later in September.

 

Sunam too tough for Uniteds in hockey competition

 

Sunam started the brighter of the two teams, with their early dominance paying off with a goal just in the first minute.

Uniteds could not hold off the Sunams as another goal came straight after the 8th minute. Uniteds were struggling to get out of their own half, and had to fend off constant Sunam attacks.
