Women told to have faith during trials

The Wesleyan Church national women’s president Ruthy Herowa encouraged mothers and young women to never lose hope when faced with problems.

Herowa is part of the PNG Wesleyan Church Women Ministry (PNG WCWM) that is staging its 7th National Women’s Conference this week in Port Moresby with over 500 women in attendance.

Herowa said: “My encouragement to women in PNG is that whatever situation we go through in our marriage lives, be joyful always.

“You may ask, how can we feel joy when we go through a divorce, abuse, neglected or violence in life?

Over 500 women gather for a week of prayer

The prayer week is part of the 7th National Women’s Conference hosted by the PNG Wesleyan Church Women Ministry (PNG WCWM) with the theme ‘Pray at All Time’.

The women traveled from 13 provinces including Hela, Southern Highlands, Western Highlands, Chimbu, Eastern Highlands, Jiwaka, Morobe and Oro to participate in the conference.

As part of the activities, the women will spend half a day fasting and praying for their homes, families, all denomination of Churches and for the nation.

Women’s conference underway in Port Moresby

The 7th National Women’s Conference is hosted by the PNG Wesleyan Church Women Ministry (PNG WCWM) with the theme ‘Pray at All Time’.

The conference will be held at the Rita Flynn Indoor Complex and the Ensisi Valley Church Grounds.

PNG WCWM has been participating with other denomination’s women groups to work together to overcome challenges in fulfilling God’s purpose for women.

National Wesleyan women’s president Ruthy Herowa said they’ve been planning this conference for four years and are looking forward to the week-long activities.
