Wawa in, Minoga to bench

The match will be at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.

Hunters coach Michael Marum explained that Adex Wera moves to the centres to replace Willie Minoga, who will start off the bench.

He added Lawrence Tu’u, Muka Peter Kulu, Karo Kauna Jnr and Noel Joel have been named on the extended 20-man squad.

Marum said he is awaiting a decision from the QRL Judiciary on Wellington Albert who was cited for a dangerous tackle during last Sunday’s 12-8 win over the South Logan Magpies.

Three to join Hunters team in 2017 season

Bension Lapun of Warako Storms, Junior Low of Joyce Bay Roosters and Goratove Ori of Sabama raiders were the three players selected.

Chairman of the Moresby South Rugby Football League Brian Murema yesterday commended the players on their achievement and urged that Moresby South League has continued to produce a number of players to the National and through to international level.

“As the Chairman, on behalf of Moresby South Rugby Football League, I would like to congratulate our three players for making it into Hunters train-on squad,” Murema said.
