The city's municipal government headquarters will be shut whole day today and most likely tomorrow as well. This is according to deputy city manager for corporate affairs, Pinio Kalus.
Kalus confirmed there was no major damage, but for the safety of the staff, everyone has been asked to vacate the building and call off work today.
He also confirmed the Fire Department were on scene and carried out inspections.
NCDC's internal technicians suspect the electricity voltage exceeded the required voltage. This they believe was caused by the recent blackouts.
