Prayers for Kanye West

West entered UCLA Medical Center Monday after abruptly canceling the remaining dates for his Saint Pablo concert tour.

A source close to West's family told CNN that the rapper is being treated for "exhaustion."

His admittance came after several days of making headlines for his behavior including rants and refunds to concertgoers after he ended a show early.

Fans and fellow celebrities expressed concern for West and his mental state on social media.

Kanye West 'hospitalised following disturbance call'

A police spokesperson told the BBC they had received a "disturbance call" on Monday afternoon, but did not name the singer.

The disturbance was later deemed a medical incident, he said, and the fire department responded.

A spokesman for the LA Fire Department said an unnamed man had been taken to hospital for "further assessment".

"At 13:20 Pacific Time, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an unspecified medical aid request," a spokesperson for the service said.

Frank Ocean shuns Grammys

That's because the singer decided not to submit his long awaited sophomore album, "Blonde," for consideration.

Ocean, who rarely grants interviews, told the New York Times that despite having won two Grammys in 2013, he's not interested this time around.

"That institution certainly has nostalgic importance," he said. "It just doesn't seem to be representing very well for people who come from where I come from, and hold down what I hold down."

In the wake of Wednesday's shock election result, hundreds of fans took to Twitter to call on the hip hop star to make good on his promise to run for office and to pledge their support.

They say that with Republican Donald Trump — a reality television star with no prior experience in office — now headed for the White House, a West presidency might not be as inconceivable as once thought.

"If Trump was able to become president, then for sure Kanye will win in 2020," tweeted Lele Pons.

Kanye West heated about Tidal vs. Apple

The rapper is once again venting about streaming music services that have apparently put him "Through the Wire."

"I need Tim Cook, Jay Z, Dez, Jimmy, Larry, me and Drake, Scooter on the phone or in a room this week!!!" West tweeted.

Fast forward to West's concert in Seattle on Wednesday, and Jay Z, Drake, Apple Music and Tidal were once again on his mind.

Kanye's NYC fashion show gets blistering reviews

The rapper/designer unveiled his Yeezy Season 4 collection outdoors in New York City as part of New York Fashion Week, and it was sweltering.

There were reports of fainting and some of the models looked to be visibly withered.

MTV VMAs 2016: 5 reasons to watch

But let's be honest, the VMAs are more about jaw dropping moments than music videos and Moon Man trophies.

Whether it was Kanye West stealing the stage from Taylor Swift in the midst of her acceptance speech in 2009, or Miley Cyrus twerking her way into a national controversy in 2013, this annual award show is always unfiltered.

Here are five reasons to watch this year's VMAs.
