Innovation hubs planned for AROB

This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the ABG and the United Nations Development Program in Buka on Monday, July 18th.

The Innovation Hubs will be funded by the government of Japan, and will essentially be a one-stop-hub where women and youth from Bougainville can look to begin their entrepreneurial journey, improve their financial literacy, and look to resource themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills towards participating in a digital and technologically focused future.

Gordon International students exhibit science innovations

Their innovative projects range from technological inventions and models of 22nd century boats, creative ideas surrounding renewable energy for sustainable development.

From the knowledge on how to save energy, the students have created innovative products that contribute globally to sustainable development.

The students in Grades 1 and 2 based their creative ideas on how to conserve the environment.

The Grades 3 and 4 looked into the future and designed boats for the 22nd century and renewable energy inventions like solar power and wind turbines.
