Julian Savea joins the AB's 27-club

Julian Savea confirmed that he'll be leaving New Zealand after Super Rugby wraps up, to take his place mining the seemingly bottomless pit of privately owned club riches in France.

He's off to Toulon, where he'll be able to hopefully play out a number of lucrative seasons. After all, he's only 27 - but that's too old to be an All Black winger these days.

Nonu leaving French club Toulon

Nonu joined Toulon after winning the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

"Toulon warmly thanks Ma'a Nonu for his involvement and commitment during these three seasons and wishes him and his family the best for the future," said Toulon on their website, with Nonu having played 77 matches during his time at the French side.

The 36-year-old centre scored 14 tries in 77 matches for Toulon, who lost back-to-back Top 14 finals in 2016 and 2017.

On social media Nonu said:

Former All Black Dylan Mika dead, aged 45

The 45-year-old played two Tests for Samoa and then, following a three-year stand-down, seven for the All Blacks, including against South Africa at the 1999 World Cup.

A statement released by Mika's family on Tuesday says he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, NZME reports.

"Dylan was a very much-loved husband and father to Tracy and their daughter, Marley, and dearly loved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Taylor on target for Pau

Taylor landed three penalties and three conversions in the 30-14 victory on Sunday (Monday NZ Time) which lifted Pau from 13th to 10th place after three rounds.

Fiji test wing Watisoni Votu scored two tries for Pau and compatriot Jale Vatubua also dotted down.

Arise Sir Michael

Jones has been made a Knight Companion of the order for his services to the Pacific community and youth.

Jones was a member of the 1987 World Cup winning playing 55 games for the All Blacks between 1987-1998.

He also played for Samoa in 1986 and coached the Samoa national side between 2004-2007.
