Dubai Expo 2020

Deputy Prime Minister Sam Basil officiated at the event alongside His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Basil echoed the country’s key message in the Dubai Expo which is to Live in Balance with Nature through sustainable development options by protecting the environment, including the rainforest.

The Conference was organized by IBMC International, a Dubai based investment and match-making company. More than 50 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and experts in finance, Government policy, gold bullion trade and innovation, including block chain, shared ideas and views and new technological inventions at the Roundtable. The event is the world’s largest gold convention. The highlight of this event was the awarding of the Global Gold Excellence Award to Papua New Guinea through Ambassador Joshua Kalinoe.

Papua New Guinea’s Commissioner General to the Exposition, Ambassador Joshua Kalinoe briefed some of them on the Pavilion and Thematic Week programmes and sought their participation where appropriate.

PNG’s senior Captain on Emirates Airline, Locklyn Sabume, organized the meeting. A number of PNG citizens are working with Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways in the UAE as pilots, aircraft engineers and flight attendants.

The PNG community expressed keen interest in assisting where possible.
