2016 Morobe Show

Lae city police boss Chief Superintendent Anthony Wagambie Jr said police will be assisting the private securities contracted to the show in manning all entry and exit perimeters.

His assurance was given to the business communities through Lae Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) weekly newsletter updates.

"I want to assure the public that police will be out on operations for the event.

The grand champion sponsor as it is known has seen the leading soft drink company in the country backing the Morobe Show for the past 25 years and its support is surely going to set the stage for event.

The Morobe show Committee today received cheque donations from the grand champion sponsor, Trukai Industries and Ramu Agri Industries totalling to K210,000.

Trukai chipped in K60,000 and the sugar supplier K50,000.

The Bank has continued to support the show, as it promoted the agriculture, livestock, horticulture, floriculture and the SME sector, which are vital industries that contribute to growth in province. 

BSP sees the show as an opportunity for participants in these industries to showcase and promote their products and service. It is also a key community contribution to the Morobe Province, as BSP promotes our local BSP Agents and our support in the Corporate and Agricultural sector in Morobe Province.

The Morobe Show follows after the Goroka and Mt Hagen Shows.

The second largest city will come to life as it will showcase the incredible variety of Morobe’s culture and traditions, allowing showgoers and tourists to pay a visit and experience the cultural displays.

Apart from the usual displays of traditional dances and singsings, customary plays, the Morobe show will have interesting displays of cultural and traditional arts and crafts, showcasing of NGO’s, commercial business, livestock, and agricultural products/ services including schools and institutions.
