Kerowaii plans two PNG video shoots

Two music videos in Kerowaii’s debut album, Mango Tree, will be shot in PNG, the artist has revealed.

He told Loop PNG the shoot will take place during his trip to PNG in the coming weeks.

“I'll be doing two music video shoots for my debut album Mango Tree, coming out in February 2017. “It will be more location shots of PNG scenery and the cultural landscape, places where I grew up,” he said.

The videos will be for songs Paper Face & Sweet Temptation, two of 12 songs on his album.

Mango Tree is dedicated to his late mother who passed away in 1998 due to illness.

He recalls his younger days, still living at the Murray Barracks in Port Moresby while his father was serving with the PNG Defence Force.

“My mother and I would spend some much time under the mango tree behind our house. Those where my happiest moments and those memories represent a boy who was innocent and surrounded with unconditional love from his mother,” Kerowaii recalls.

“So mango tree is a reflection of innocent boy playing around a mango tree and leaving that mango tree, to return 15 years later to show who he has become.

“It shows the transition of being that young boy and being the man I am today,” he adds.
