Nurses from around the country have converged to Popondetta, Northern Province for a two day National Perioperative Conference.
Perioperative generally refers to the three phases of surgery: preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative
The goal of perioperative is to provide better conditions for patients before operation, during operation, and after operation.
The two day conference will see nurses discuss challenges and other issues they face in their profession.
International Representative from Australia Dr. Elinor Radke is the main guest speaker.
The conference was officially opened by the Governor of Northern Province, Gary Juffa today.
