Microsoft brings new apps to Android Wear and the Apple Watch

Microsoft has launched a dozen new productivity apps for Android Wear devices and the Apple Watch, including new versions of Outlook and Translator.

The new Outlook app is exclusive to the Apple Watch, allowing users to read full emails on their wrist and send pre-written or dictated responses.

Updated versions of OneNote and OneDrive have landed on Android Wear. The cloud-storage service will now use recently-uploaded photos as a watch face each time the device is activated.

Translator is available for both platforms, enabling users to convert spoken English into 50 different languages and save their favourite translations for quick reference.

It seems that Microsoft has been busy working on new software for every wearable device out there - apart from its own Microsoft Band, which has been tipped to receive a new iteration in the near future.

The new apps are available to download from Google Play and the App Store.
