New, high standard buildings for NIP

New Ireland Province is gearing up for the opening of its government haus in Namatanai and the government official residence in Kavieng.

Governor for New Ireland, Sir Julius Chan, said the two buildings now give confidence to New Ireland to welcome any important and high profile world leaders to visit and have the quality and standard of accommodation appropriate for their status.

This has never been possible before, says the governor, and he is satisfied that they have invested in the buildings.

Mining Minister Johnson Tuke will officiate at the opening of the Government Haus in Namatanai on 15th March while the Prime Minister will open the Government Official Residence in Kavieng on 16th March.
