Attractive deal for PNG Air passengers

PNG Air’s codeshare agreement with Virgin Australia just got a lot more attractive for PNG Air passengers.

Following PNG Air’s codeshare launch on Virgin Australia flights between Port Moresby and Brisbane, PNG Air are now ready to commence the second stage enabling their passengers to travel onward to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, in addition to Brisbane.

And there is more great news; from now on, PNG Air passengers on codeshare flights operated by Virgin Australia, between Port Moresby and Brisbane, will be able to earn Velocity Points and Status Credits. Velocity Frequent Flyer is Virgin Australia’s award winning loyalty program and gives members a range of ways to earn and redeem Velocity Points, including on flights.

The third stage of the agreement will see Lae, Mt Hagen, Rabaul, Goroka, Popondetta, Tufi, Lihir (Kunaye) and Kavieng linked with Brisbane, in addition to Port Moresby; so you can sip your coffee and watch the stunning vista of Papua New Guinea unfold before you as you enjoy PNG Air’s service whilst starting or continuing your journey to/from Australia. This is expected to commence in mid-late September.

The last stage of the codeshare roll out will link PNG Air’s main destinations with Virgin Australia’s main domestic destinations, making the process of connecting from Lihir or Goroka through to Sydney or Melbourne a lot less complicated and much more enjoyable.

You can book tickets for codeshare flights at PNG Air sales offices, through your preferred travel agents, or Post PNG outlet. There are also options online at www.pngair.com.pg; or by calling the reservations line on +675 7411 2644.
