PNGFA president, John Kapi Natto announced this in front of Member Association Manager, Stanley Khanna to the meeting that the MOU will provide the guide to help them fix the ongoing football issue in East Sepik.

Currently three entities who claim to administer football in the province, the Sepik Soccer Provincial Association (SSPA), Sepik Futsal Association (SFA) and the Wewak Football Association.

Kapi Natto said PNGFA want to see one soccer body to run the administration of football in the province and then down to the districts.

The original trophy, which is usually kept at the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich, will visit more than 50 countries on six continents.

It will arrive in the nation’s capital on February 1.

PNGFA Vice President, John Wesley Gonjuan said the trophy will overnight and leave PNG shores the next morning at 5am.

He added the reception for the trophy will be exclusive with only about 120 people to be present at the event.

He finished by saying more details of the historic visit will be released in the coming days.

This is with regard to the red card resulting in David Eric Brown sent off in the 22nd minute of Thursday’s 1-3 loss to Tahiti.

He was given his marching orders in unjust fashion in the early minute of play after defender Taumihau TIATIA went down under what appeared to be an innocuous challenge.

FIFA has acknowledged receipt of the letter but will refrain from reviewing the decisions taken by the referee but the case will be submitted to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee when they meet on 20 April, 2017.

PNG Kapuls will feature in the OFC Stage 3 playoffs and take on Tahiti on the 23^rd of March in Port Moresby.

Chairman of Madang Football Club, Dr Miok Komolong upon receiving the cheque from PNGFA senior vice president, John Wesley Gonjuan, said the assistance was timely and thanked PNGFA for their assistance.

“I commend PNG Football Association for the timely assistance and for the mother body to step in is something we value and appreciate very much.

“We’re looking forward for our campaign in New Caledonia and to make PNG proud, said Komolong.

The areas which PNGFA hopes to do this is through member association competition structure, member association technical development programs, member association administration and business development planning programs and members association infrastructure development.

Member associations are eligible to apply funding through the financial assistance programme (FAP) to the total of K100,000 maximum per year.

PNG Kapuls Coach Flemming Serritslev has returned to their training camp in Port Moresby to start their preparations.

Skipper David Muta, forward Tommy Semmy, defenders Koriak Upaiga and Daniel Joe have been released by their club Marist FC to join the camp.

They will be joined by Michael Foster, another Papua New Guinean player who plays as a midfielder for Marist’s rival club, Malaita Kingz FC in the semi-professional Telekom S-League in the Solomon Islands.

With the transfer windows now open, the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) is flying in the PNG Kapuls players who are playing in Solomon Islands National Soccer League and in Australia and New Zealand.

Players in Solomon Islands include Tommy Semmy, captain David Muta, Daniel Joe and Michael Foster with Raymond Gunemba in New Zealand and Nigel Dabinyaba in Australia.

Some players have arrived today while others will arrive tomorrow as they prepare for their trial match set for March next year against Tahiti.

The first round of matches in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifiers OFC Stage 3 has been confirmed with the Group B encounter Tahiti and Solomon Islands kicking things off on  November 7,  in Papeete.

Papua New Guinea and Fiji will sit out Round one of stage 3 with byes and rejoin the action in Round 2 of the games.

With Solomon Islands and New Caledonia will prepare for their upcoming encounters with two friendly matches in Honiara next month.
