Market for Village Farmers (MVF) Project

FPDA boss calls for team work

Worinu made these remarks during the planning workshop for the Market for Village Farmers project (MVF) in Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province recently.

Mr Worinu strongly emphasized that year 2021 is an important year for the project implementation; hence urges both the staff of FPDA, MVF and other stakeholders to work hard, and deliver much needed services to the farming communities who will benefit from the intervention.

CEFI and FPDA sign partnership

This will be executed under the ‘Market for Village Farmers’ (MVF) project worth K127 million (US$38 m).

The partnership, in conjunction with the PNG Government was signed on June 5th in Port Moresby.

According to CEFI farmers find challenging the transition from semi-subsistence farming to a market-oriented agriculture business.

And with limited financial services and products and poor money management skills, it can be overwhelming for farmers to sustain and grow their business.
