The recent 2018 SP Sports Awards was a celebration of not just sporting excellence, but the positive impact that Sports can have on the community and individuals alike.
Female table tennis para-athlete, Vero Nime, who was awarded Best Sports Person with a Disability.
Nime took the opportunity to openly encouraged others in her position to make the most of their talents, sighting how far sports has taken her.
“Other Para-athletes need to look beyond their ability and make the most of the opportunity that sports can give them.
“Nothing compares to what hard can do for you.
Meantime, Nime says that she is happy for the award and proud for the opportunity to represent people with disability in the sporting arena.
