Brisbane Broncos captain and utility, Alex Glenn, is expecting a very physical encounter – and nothing less.
“I know they’re a very physical team. I’ve played against the PNG national team and a lot of them are in the Hunters, they have a lot of skill, they play very hard and play to their best ability until the final whistle. They never give up and always want to do their families proud.”
It’s no secret many of the SP Hunters are Broncos fans themselves.
“A lot of them are big Brisbane Broncos fans and will be playing against their idols, so I know they’ll want to test themselves and see where their abilities are at against NRL players,” Glenn said.
“I know it’s not going to be an easy match and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
Asked which Hunters players the Broncos will be targeting to shut down, Glenn responded:
“I know all across the park they’re not easy people to tackle and in the morning, we’re definitely going to feel very sore as I have felt in the past.”
