Barras go down to Scots

The Hebou PNG Barramundis crumbled to their second defeat in the last of the One Day Internationals played yesterday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

A batting collapse at the top order saw the Barras struggling at 4-52 against Scotland.

Sese Bau and veteran all-rounder Mahuru Dai briefly resurrected the innings with a 66-run fifth-wicket stand.

Their dismissals gave way to Chad Soper (9*) and Damien Ravu (0*), who batted out the remaining overs to have the Barras finish at 8/192.

Scotland took 46.2 overs to chase down the target with captain Kyle Coetzer top scoring with 66 to lead his side to seal Scotland’s 2-0 sweep.

Next up for the Barras will be Hong Kong when they clash at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, United Arab Emirates, in the four-day ICUP match from November 29-December 2.
