Two of PNG’s favourite radio personalities are taking their stage experience to another level.
From the comforts of being MC’s at events, Bata Kiings and Bata Rat Sting of 99.5 Rait FM have taken on the challenge to contest for Mr Cosmopolitan.
Their journey began with the call out by the super club earlier this year for the first ever Mr Cosmopolitan competition.
Known for their creativity in engaging their audience, the whole journey has been kept in the public eye from rehearsals to auditions and the launch last night.
“Basically the event itself is content for our shows – trying to do something that we’ve never done before,” Bata Rat Sting said.
With no experience on runways, the personalities gave it a shot, pulling off an impressive performance last night, to the support of their Rait FM family.
“I guess it’s to boost confidence. Right now my confidence level has gone up
“MC at an events is completely different from this; I mean this is showcasing your body in front of people,” Bata Rat Sting added.
When asked if he will continue, he said only if his wife allowed him.
“And I’d do it again if really we were to enter this competition to win – K5,000.”
Even if he continues or not, Bata Rat Sting has learnt a few tips on being a model.
