Rait FM

Is there a message behind Bellylicious?

But there is another message behind it.

The local radio station stated in a media release, that Bellylicious also “pokes a bit of fun at authority” featuring a shirtless Rait FM Team shaking their bellies.

The video was inspired by the largely debated Bootylicious from Tati Mangi PNG and banned on local media by Minister for Religion and Community Development, Delilah Gore.

Speaking to Loop PNG, Ryan Khay, Program Director/ Operations Manager touched on the double standard practiced in the country.

Bellylicious, remake of Bootylicious

Yes! You read that correctly.

Bellylicious is the remake version of the controversial music video Bootylicious by local hiphop artist Tati Mangi PNG.

The Bellylicious remake is by the radio personalities of radio station, 99.5 Rait FM.

The video sees Loqie posing as Tati while Bata Rat, Bata Kiings, and Elton dance beside him, in their version of swim wear.

But in what Tati would sing: baby girl come rub it rub it on me, Loqie sings: Bata Kiings got a bigger belly than me.

Radio personalities in Mr Cosmopolitan contest

From the comforts of being MC’s at events, Bata Kiings and Bata Rat Sting of 99.5 Rait FM have taken on the challenge to contest for Mr Cosmopolitan.

Their journey began with the call out by the super club earlier this year for the first ever Mr Cosmopolitan competition.

Known for their creativity in engaging their audience, the whole journey has been kept in the public eye from rehearsals to auditions and the launch last night.

“Basically the event itself is content for our shows – trying to do something that we’ve never done before,” Bata Rat Sting said.

Speed date to celebrate Valentines

This is a formalised matchmaking process of dating system whose purpose is to encourage people to meet a large number of new people.

The origins, according to Wikipedia, are credited to Rabbi Yaacov Deyo of Aish HaTorah, originally to help Jewish singles meet and marry.

Adopted into different cultures, the Cosmopolitan in conjunction with Rait FM, is bringing this event, for the first time to Papua New Guinea.

The event for singles between ages of 23 and 35 will be staged tonight, open only to those who had registered prior to date.
